The 2008 DME Award Ceremony, ready to reveal the winners in the big Cardiff night

Management teams from Europe’s most innovative private companies and public organisations will gather on Monday 13th October at the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre in the heart of Cardiff Bay, where the winners and honourable mentions of the Design Management Europe Award 2008 will come to light.

The event, hosted by the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff, will discover distinguishable winners of the DME trophy among the 39 short listed companies and organisations from all Europe that stand out for their outstanding Design Management.

For this second edition, nominees are participating in seven different categories: large company; medium-sized company; small company; micro company; public or non-profit organisation; first time design project, and implementation of a design strategy for sustainability

The ceremony will be opened by Mr Iauan Wyn Jones AM, Deputy First Minister of the Welsh Assembly Government and joining him will be Dr Reinhard Buscher, Head of Unit, Innovation Policy Development at the European Commission to congratulate the winners. Distinguished members of the jury, prestigious professionals and academics of the design and business community, as well as design-minded organisations are also going to be there to honour the winners. The award ceremony will develop into an exhibition of the winners and a party to live the night out.

Cardiff Design Festival
